Betfred Tommy Whittle Chase Day is one of Haydock Park's most iconic events of the year, with the race being won by some of the sport's most outstanding chasers over the years.
Bobby Grant was a popular two-time winner of the race for trainer Peter Beaumont on the turn of the Millenium, while Cannington Brook won back-to-back renewals of the race in 2011 and 2012.
